Has anyone been following the case of Diego Gomez-Lopez? One thing that sticks out to me is the role of the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) in cases like these. It seems like a critical tool for families trying to find their loved ones, but I wonder how effective it really is for tracking missing migrants in such a challenging environment. You'd think with the high number of people attempting to cross the border this way, updates would be more frequent. Yet, it looks like his case hasn't had any significant progress. Is the lack of updates typical with these kinds of cases, or is there something else at play here? It’s just so frustrating. I'd like to hear more from others who might have followed similar cases.
