I've been thinking a lot about the community support Marvin received before his tragic passing. It’s clear he was surrounded by people who really wanted the best for him. Places like Café Reconcile do such important work by offering a second chance to young people who might have had a rough start. Out of darkness, come these rays of hope, and Marvin seemed to be a shining example of that potential being realized. It makes his loss even more poignant because he was actively working towards a better life, not just for himself, but for his young son too. Their dedication to him continues to resonate; it’s evident that he was truly loved and believed in by those around him. It’s heartbreaking that the violence in the city erased a future that was beginning to look so bright. My heart goes out to his family and friends left to mourn this vibrant spirit.
