Hey everyone, I've been following this case and find myself constantly thinking about the community impact and trauma these events leave behind. It's just so unsettling knowing this all happened near Garfield Elementary School. Schools are meant to be safe havens, places where children learn and grow without fear. While the investigation seems to be pointing towards Buchanan, it makes you wonder if the school staff and students are receiving adequate support after witnessing or hearing about such violence so close to their learning environment. It also raises questions about safety measures in places that should be secure for all residents, especially our youngest ones. How do we, as a community, come together to ensure these environments remain untouched by the shadows of such crimes? My thoughts are really with Ponce's family and also with the children and parents navigating this frightening reality. Would love to hear what others think about community safety and the role we can play in healing after such tragedies.
