Has anyone else been following the Pereira kids' case out of Hialeah? Something that I find particularly puzzling is how they managed to disappear so completely. Given that the family possibly fled to Nicaragua, does anyone have any insight into how easy it might have been for them to leave the country under the radar? With airports having various security measures, especially for minors, I'm wondering if they might have taken a different route. Maybe by sea or land to another country first? It just seems crazy that they could vanish without a trace. Any ideas or similar cases from South Florida?
