I've been thinking a lot about the demographics of missing persons cases, and William Frank Mellis III's disappearance got me questioning how age plays a role in these investigations. At 61, Mellis doesn't fit the common perception that missing persons are typically younger individuals. It's concerning that cases involving older adults like him might not receive the same urgency or media attention. Unfortunately, there's such limited information available on what happened after he was last seen in Weldon Spring. Do any of you think age affects how these cases are prioritized or the public's response to them? Also, has anyone come across similar cases where individuals of his age disappeared under such mysterious circumstances? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Has anyone else noticed the weird gap in details about William Frank Mellis III’s case? What was he doing at Weldon Spring, and why is there so little info about his activities around that time? It seems like such a significant lead, yet it’s barely mentioned in discussions. I keep wondering if something or someone drew him out there, or if he went to meet someone specific. The fact that it’s such a rural area really sticks out to me. Maybe someone familiar with Weldon Spring or any events happening there around February 2017 might recall something. I feel like there’s a piece of the puzzle waiting to be uncovered by someone who might not realize they even have it. Thoughts?
