It's so tragic that Carl Stevens Bridgewater, Sr. was taken from this world in such a violent manner. Knowing that he was about to become a father just makes this all the more devastating. It’s been over a decade, and I can’t help but think of his family, especially his child, Carl Jr., who never got the chance to know his dad.
The fact that his life was cut short just blocks from his home is incredibly unsettling. It's hard to wrap my head around how someone can brutally end a life in broad daylight in a place with so much foot traffic. I wonder if there might be witnesses who, for whatever reason, never came forward. The area has changed a lot since 2011, but it makes me think that someone out there might remember something that could help solve this.
If you’re reading this and were in the area around that time, please try to recall even the smallest details. Families like Carl's deserve justice and closure. It's haunting that his case is yet to be resolved. How many other families are waiting in that same agonizing limbo? Here's hoping that somehow, some way, the truth finds its way to light. Thinking of those who knew and loved Carl during this painful time.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the Carl Stevens Bridgewater, Sr. case, and something that's been on my mind lately is the impact of Carl's death on his unborn child. It's devastating to think that Carl, Jr. will never get to know his father. Growing up without getting to know your parent is unimaginable, especially when they're taken away in such a violent way.
I wonder how the family is coping and if they're receiving the community support they need. If you have any ideas about resources or ways to help them, maybe we could share them here. Sometimes these little gestures can make a huge difference for those left behind. It's just so hard to comprehend why someone would be so cruel, especially with a family already going through so much after losing Renetta. They both seemed liked they had so much potential and happiness ahead of them, and it’s just so unfair.
Thinking of the family and hoping they find some peace and justice soon. ?

Has anyone else noticed how eerily similar Carl's case is to other unsolved murders in the area? It's hard not to feel that there's a bigger picture here, especially since the New Orleans community has had its share of violence. It's devastating to think about the grief his family is enduring, especially with a little one who'll never get to know his father or mother. The loss is immeasurable.
I can't help but wonder if there are connections to Magnolia Shorty's tragic death. Both happened so close to each other, and the nature of their deaths is just too chilling. There's this sinking feeling that Carl's murder could also be tied to something deeper within the community. Are there any locals who've heard anything, any small details that might not have made the news but could help solve this?
