Ray Maxwell's case is such a tragic example of the challenges faced in solving cold cases in New Orleans. One detail that’s always stuck out to me is the difficulty officers have had in tracking down witnesses. It's frustrating how often potential eyewitnesses or people with important information might be reluctant or even afraid to come forward, which is understandable given the climate of violence in the city. I wonder if there's a way the community could foster a safer environment or support system for witnesses? Imagine the comfort it would bring to Ray’s family and others if people felt safe enough to share what they know without fear of retribution. Maybe we should be talking more about how to create these safe spaces to help solve these heartbreaking cases. Ray’s family deserves closure, just like so many others out there. Every little bit of information counts, and it’s worth pondering how we as a community can contribute.

I’ve been following Ray Maxwell’s case for some time now, and it’s one of those that just sticks with you. It's disheartening to think about the number of years that have passed without answers. What strikes me is how important it is for the community to come together and provide any tips or memories that could be the missing piece of the puzzle. Even the smallest detail can sometimes make a huge difference in cases like these. It’s reassuring to hear that law enforcement is still committed to using every resource available, but they can’t do it without the help of people who might have seen or heard something back then. My thoughts are with Ray’s family and others in New Orleans waiting for justice. Does anyone know if there have been any recent updates or public efforts to gather more community involvement?

Hi everyone, I’ve been following Ray Maxwell’s case since it first happened, and it just feels so frustrating that it's still unsolved after all these years. I was recently reading about how New Orleans is using DNA testing on cold cases like Ray's, and while it gives me hope, I’m left wondering what more could be done to actually solve these cases. One thing that really stands out to me is the role that the community can play in bringing justice, not just for Ray but for all the families dealing with this pain. It’s been over a decade since Ray's murder, and I'm curious if anyone here has ideas on how we, as a community, can aid in pushing these cases forward, especially with the advancements in forensic science. It seems like the police have been trying to reengage, but it often feels like they need a nudge or fresh perspective. What do you all think would be the most effective way to support investigations, either through community action or encouraging potential witnesses to come forward? These murders shouldn’t remain cold, and Ray’s family, along with so many others, deserve some resolution. Take care, Alex72
