It's really difficult to comprehend the loss those who knew Everette, affectionately known as "Head," must be feeling after his tragic passing. My thoughts go out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
I read about the vigil that was held in his honor, and I think it's a beautiful way to come together and remember him. It's meaningful to see how the community is honoring his memory despite the heartbreaking circumstances. Lighting candles on his online memorial is such a touching gesture, showing just how much he meant to so many people.
The fact that these stories are becoming disturbingly common is something we must address. Baton Rouge's rising homicide rate is alarming, and it seems like Everette's death serves as a painful reminder of the broader issue we are facing. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, but recognizing the impact one individual's life had on their community can push us toward advocating for change.
If anyone has more details or insights into how the community is coping or taking action, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s keep Everette's legacy alive and use it to fuel a push for safer neighborhoods.
