I keep thinking about the damage to the neighbor's car from a stray bullet and what it might mean for the investigation. It suggests the shooter was reckless, firing without much concern for what or who else might be hit. This could mean they weren't familiar with the area, or perhaps they were just in a panic. I wonder if this will eventually lead back to them, maybe through ballistics or if the car itself left any evidence that could provide a clue. It's so frustrating and sad that this might have been a case of mistaken identity. Nitesh seemed like someone who was well-loved by those around him, just trying to help a coworker get home safe, and he didn't deserve any of this. His family's hope for answers must be incredibly difficult to hold onto with the case still open. If anyone knows something, I hope they find the courage to step forward.
