It’s awful to hear about what happened to Danjae Parker. My thoughts go out to his friends and family. I recently read about the rise in gun violence during that time in Baton Rouge, and it's alarming to see how communities were caught in a wave of fear and loss. It makes me wonder how local law enforcement and community leaders were planning to address such a dire situation back then. Did they implement any new strategies, or were there community efforts to curb such violence? Losing someone so young is devastating, and I hope there has been some progress in reducing these senseless acts of violence since then.
