The case of Edward Lee Jenkins III has deeply resonated with me, and I can't stop thinking about how challenging it must be for any witnesses to come forward. The area around 11401 S. Vermont Ave. isn't exactly known for being the safest place, and I wonder if that might be contributing to people being hesitant to talk. It's disheartening that fear can silence those who might hold crucial information. I just hope that with each passing day, someone who knows something finds the courage to speak up. His family deserves answers and justice, and as a community, we should support ways to make it safer for people to share what they know.
