I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact of Jonathan Garcia’s tragic death on his friends and classmates. A bright young life taken away so suddenly is something no community should have to endure. I can’t imagine what it must be like for his peers who are trying to make sense of this senseless violence. Did anyone attend or hear about any memorials or vigils that were held at his school or in Fowler? It’s heartbreaking to think about how many lives have been touched by this tragedy. My heart truly goes out to Jonathan’s friends and family. Communities often rally together during such difficult times, and I hope they received a lot of support.
