I’ve been following the case of Austin Edward Belisle, and something that stands out to me is the impact this tragedy had on the Vermont Square community. It’s so sad that people in his neighborhood experienced an increase in fear and anxiety following his murder. I can't imagine how tough it must be for residents there, trying to go about their daily lives while worrying about their safety. Community support and cohesion can be such a powerful force in times like these, and I hope that residents are coming together to support one another through such a difficult time. It’s crucial that officials not only focus on finding justice for Austin but also on fostering a safer environment for everyone living in that area. Anyone familiar with community meetings or discussions taking place around this in Vermont Square? Would love to hear how people are coming together.
