Hi everyone, I wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind about Leroy Smith's case. It's really distressing to think about how the community in Florence-Firestone continues to live with the fear of unsolved violence like this. I’ve been reading up on the neighborhood, and it seems like there's a real sense of frustration among residents about the lack of progress in tackling crime and creating safer environments. It makes me wonder how we, as a community, can support one another in times like these. Opening a dialogue about neighborhood safety could be a start, but it feels like more concrete actions are needed to bring about change. I know we can't undo what happened to Mr. Smith, but I feel a combined effort to improve community relationships with law enforcement might make a difference moving forward. Has anyone else read about any programs or initiatives that have been successful in similar neighborhoods? I think anything we can do to advocate for justice and safer communities is worth discussing. Thanks for reading, and my thoughts are with Mr. Smith’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
