I still can't believe Katie is gone. The fact that an ordinary night walk turned into such a nightmare is beyond comprehension. I keep thinking about her dog—how terrifying it must have been to experience such a horrific event. It's miraculous the dog survived, but the emotional scars must be deep. Does anyone know if Katie had family or friends nearby looking after her dog? I hope they’re getting the love and support they need during this incredibly difficult time. It’s small comfort, but it’s something to hold onto in this crazy world. My heart goes out to them, and I’m sending thoughts of strength and healing to everyone affected.

Has anyone else been following the part about Katie's dog surviving the attack? It's such a small detail amidst this terrible tragedy, but it makes me think about how resilient animals can be, even in the worst circumstances. I'm truly relieved that her dog made it through, but it's heartbreaking to imagine the poor thing witnessing such violence and losing its owner. I hope Katie's family is able to take some comfort in having her loyal companion still with them. I've read that pets can sometimes help with the grieving process, providing comfort and continuity in the aftermath of such a loss. I can't help but wonder who is caring for the dog now. Does anyone know if family or friends have said anything about that? Keeping them all in my thoughts. ?
