I’ve been following the details surrounding the tragic murder of John Leslie Jones, and one aspect that continues to puzzle me is how Andre Juan Lopez managed to evade capture for seven days. It seems so surreal how someone can be on the run, especially with three young children in tow. I can’t imagine the fear and chaos involved for both families during that time. It’s a stark reminder of how complex and far-reaching these investigations can become, especially when children are involved. My heart goes out to John's family––I can't begin to fathom their pain. I hope they find some solace as justice seeks to be served and that others will step forward with any information they might have.
