I have been following Kiesha Love's case and wanted to share something I've been thinking about. It's really troubling how often predictions about abuse can go unnoticed or be dismissed. From what I understand, Kiesha was trying to leave the relationship at the time of her death, which unfortunately is one of the most dangerous times for victims of domestic violence. It just breaks my heart to think about how vulnerable she must have felt. Her story makes it painfully clear that we need more education around the signs of abuse and better support for those trying to escape these situations. If anything, I hope her story encourages someone to reach out and get help. Her family and friends deserve answers and justice now, more than ever. What more can we do as a community to support victims and prevent tragedies like Kiesha's? It's something we all should seriously think about.
