I’ve been following Dana Hicks's case since it occurred, and I can’t help but think about the lack of leads and how tough it must be for his family. I recently read about the community efforts to gather more information, and it’s truly inspiring to see people come together like that. It’s so important for everyone in the area to lend a hand in whatever way they can, whether it’s through Crimestoppers or simply sharing any small detail that might help. The fact that Dana, or “Cooley” as his friends called him, was targeted while just sitting in his minivan is chilling. It makes you wonder if anyone saw something suspicious around that area on the evening of March 8, 2013. Every little bit could make a difference even after all these years. New Orleans is a vibrant city with a strong community, and it's sad to see it marred by such violence. Sending love and strength to Dana’s family and friends, and hoping they find the justice they deserve soon.
