I read about the unsolved case of Shawn Chatman and can't stop thinking about the frustration his family must be feeling. It's awful that the surveillance cameras at Cesar Chavez Park weren't working when he was killed. It makes you wonder why, in a place with known violence issues, such a basic security measure wasn't functioning. If those cameras were operational, could we have answers by now? This tragedy highlights the dire need for maintenance in security systems, especially in public areas. It’s infuriating to think how many cases might remain mysteries because of such oversight. My heart goes out to Shawn's loved ones, living with unanswered questions in addition to their loss.
