Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something about the Elvis Castellanos case that I’ve been thinking about. With so many of these incidents, it seems like there’s always a piece of the puzzle right under our noses that we might be missing.
I noticed that the SUV used in the crime was last seen traveling eastbound on Sherman Way. Has there been any mention of nearby surveillance cameras catching more footage of this vehicle? With all the businesses around, you'd think there'd be a chance someone could find a crucial clip that shows the license plate or gives a better view of the driver.
It’s hard not to think about Elvis's family and the pain they must be going through, knowing the person responsible is still out there. If anyone happens to be in that area or knows people who work at those businesses, maybe they could check their cameras from that day—even now, it might have something valuable. Small leads like this can sometimes crack a case wide open.
Has anyone looked into the possibility that this shooting might be related to any neighborhood disputes or tensions in the area around Sherman Way and Woodley Avenue? I know these kinds of crimes are sadly too common, but the fact that the suspect specifically approached Elvis on foot after exiting a vehicle makes me think there might be something more personal at play here. It’s terrifying to think this was a random act, given how brazenly it was carried out in broad daylight. If there’s a chance that anyone in the community noticed anything unusual or heard rumors about any conflicts, it might help to know more about the backstory. My heart goes out to Elvis' family, and I hope justice is served soon. Stay safe, everyone.
