Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Benjamin Scott Thomas, and something that's been on my mind is the location where he was found. Elk Camp CAL FIRE Station on Bald Hills Road seems like such an isolated spot to drop someone off in such a dire condition. Does anyone here know if there's any significance to this location, either in terms of access or who might frequent that area? It makes me wonder if it was chosen intentionally, perhaps to evade immediate scrutiny or due to familiarity with the spot.
I can't help but feel for Benjamin's family and friends, trying to process their loss while everything feels so uncertain. If anyone else is from the area and has thoughts on this, I'd be interested to hear perspectives on why this place might factor into the investigation.
Thanks for reading, and let's keep hoping for some answers soon.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Benjamin Scott Thomas, and it’s incredibly sad to think about what his family and friends must be going through right now. One thing that's been on my mind is the decision by Shaun Patrick McMahon to turn himself in. I can’t help but wonder what compelled him to do so. Was it a feeling of guilt, pressure from the investigation, or did he hope to somehow control the narrative by coming forward on his terms?
Turning oneself in usually isn’t something people do lightly, especially considering the severity of the charges. Was there evidence he knew would lead back to him, or did he just reach a moral tipping point? It makes me think there’s more to his story at play. If anyone has seen something similar in other cases where suspects have just turned themselves in, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Regardless of everything, I just hope there’s some comfort in finding the truth for those who knew and loved Benjamin. It’s crucial that justice is served, but also that we learn more about what led up to this tragedy to prevent it from happening again.
Stay safe, everyone.
