Benjamin Scott Thomas, a 40-year-old resident of Trinidad, California, tragically lost his life on June 23, 2021, near Orick, California. The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office identified Thomas as the victim of a homicide, with the cause of death determined to be a gunshot wound. On the evening of June 23, Thomas was dropped off at the Elk Camp CAL FIRE Station on Bald Hills Road by multiple unknown individuals.
