I've been reading about Max's case, and it's so deeply moving. I can't stop thinking about the parents of the 15-year-old friend. How do you even begin to cope when your child is involved in such a tragic accident, even unintentionally? Many seem quick to point fingers, but I imagine both families are going through a nightmare. I hope the friend is getting the support he needs; being involved in such a tragic accident at a young age must be incredibly overwhelming and traumatic. It also makes me think about the importance of educating our kids about the dangers of firearms and advocating for responsible gun storage. No child should have to face such events, and no parent should have to live through the loss or involvement in something so tragic. My heart goes out to both families as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time.
