Has anyone looked into Daryl Cauthen’s mental health history before he went missing? The fact that he sold or gave away all his possessions and left notes for his family really strikes me as odd behavior. I wonder if he was in any kind of distress or experiencing something that made him feel he had to "clear the slate" before disappearing. It also makes me curious if there's any possibility of him wanting to start anew somewhere and whether he might have left with a plan. But then, the abandoned car in San Francisco throws a wrench into that theory. Anyone have more thoughts or insights on what might have pushed him towards this dramatic change?
Has anyone else thought about the odd behavior Daryl exhibited before he went missing? Giving away or selling all his stuff and leaving notes for his family seems like he was planning something. Maybe he intended on a fresh start somewhere else, but the fact that his car ended up in San Francisco complicates things. It's like he wanted to disappear entirely, but to leave such a massive clue behind makes me wonder if it was truly his choice. Could he have met someone who convinced him or maybe coerced him into doing this? His family must be desperate for any shred of information. If anyone else notices something similar in other cases, it might be worth looking into common threads.
