Has anyone been following the Ryan Serna case? I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where it happened. This part of Azusa doesn’t usually make the news, which makes this crime even more unsettling for the residents there. I can only imagine how frightening it must be for those living nearby, knowing such a tragedy occurred right on their doorstep. Ryan was so young, with so much life ahead of him. It’s true what they say—when violence strikes close to home, it shakes everyone who knew the person, but it also affects the whole community. I’ve read that the Azusa community has been trying to push for more street lights and neighborhood watch programs in response to this. Do you think that would make a difference in preventing future incidents? It’s reassuring that the Sheriff’s Department is urging people to share any information they have, but I wish there was more we could do. Thoughts and prayers are with Ryan’s family and friends as they navigate this painful time. Let's hope for a breakthrough in the case soon.
