Hi everyone,
I can't stop thinking about how intense it must have been for the officer who first responded to Mark Burton’s case. They heard the gunshots and had to move fast, not knowing what they were going to find. It's got to take a toll on our officers who have to confront such traumatic scenes, and I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for them as well as the friends and family of Mark Burton.
It also makes me wonder about the person or persons behind this violent act. How could somebody just walk away from the scene after doing something so terrible? It's unsettling that no clear leads have been reported yet. I feel for the community, too, because it's never easy to have this kind of uncertainty close to home. Hoping anyone who knows anything will find it in their hearts to come forward and speak with the authorities. Mark’s loved ones deserve answers and justice.
What do you think could help push the investigation forward? Any thoughts on community efforts or ways to support the investigation from afar?

I can't stop thinking about that poor man and his family. I was just reading about Mark Burton's case, and I keep coming back to the fact that he was found behind that marijuana dispensary. It's unsettling to think that being in the wrong place at the wrong time might've cost him his life. We often hear about the area being a bit sketchy, but it doesn’t make it any easier to accept that someone could lose their life like that.
It seems so strange that nobody heard or saw anything despite the gunshots early that morning. I hope there’s someone out there with a piece of information, even if they think it’s insignificant, who can help the police. Mark’s family deserves answers and a sense of closure. It's hard not to worry about how his loved ones are coping, especially when it seems like progress on the case has stalled. If anyone knows anything, it's so crucial to step forward. Let's help bring some peace to Mark's family.
