I can't stop thinking about the weapons aspect of Greg Cirimele's case. It's troubling to know that Ammann was carrying a firearm illegally. How did a teenager get his hands on a gun in the first place? This part of the case really sticks with me. It speaks to a much bigger issue about access to weapons and how they can lead to irreversible tragedies like this one. My heart truly goes out to Greg's family and friends who have had to navigate their grief while grappling with the fact that Ammann was only given a nine-year sentence. I can't imagine their frustration and sense of injustice knowing this happened with an illegal firearm and feeling as if the judicial outcome didn't reflect the gravity of the situation. What are your thoughts on how the firearm aspect influenced the plea deal?
