Did anyone else catch the bit about the DNA evidence that tied Tikue back to the 2018 case? I find it chilling how something as small as a glove can unravel the whole web. It really makes you think about the role of forensic science in bringing justice, even years after the crime took place. My thoughts go out to the families of Gunnar and Meba, who have had to go through this unimaginable pain. I'm hopeful that the conviction brings them some sense of closure. It’s terrifying how someone with such a violent past like Tikue was still free to commit these horrific acts.

It’s difficult to wrap my head around the fact that Gunnar and Meba were just going about their lives, trying to make a living, and ended up victims of such a brutal crime. My thoughts are with their families who have had to endure such unimaginable pain and a long wait for justice. What really gets me in cases like this is how it seems like Tikue had such a clear pattern of violence, especially with the 2018 incident. It's so frustrating that it took another tragic event to finally bring him to justice. I'm concerned about why some people don't get the help or intervention they clearly need before things escalate to this tragic level. Anyone else wondering if there were missed opportunities to stop him sooner?
