I’ve been following Jeremy Galvin's case since it happened, and I just can’t stop thinking about the impact it's had on the Boyle Heights community. As a parent myself, my heart goes out to his family and everyone at Roosevelt High School. I heard that friends and neighbors gathered at the spot where it happened—near First Street Elementary—to lay flowers and remember him. This kind of solidarity is so important during such a tough time. I hope the LAPD’s investigation brings some closure to his family soon. It’s all so senseless, and while the police work on finding the second suspect, I keep thinking of how essential it is for us to address what's happening with our youth and gun violence. It’s hard not to draw parallels with other recent tragedies in LA, like the loss of young Alexander Alvarado. We really need to come together to demand change, for Jeremy and all the kids whose futures have been stolen. If anyone has updates on the case or ways to support his family, please share. Let's keep Jeremy's memory alive and push for the safety and well-being of our communities.
