I've been following the discussions about the tragic loss of Jeanette Gallegos, and my thoughts are constantly with her children - I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma they’ve experienced. It’s absolutely horrifying that these young kids had to witness such a tragic event right in their home, a place that should have been their safest sanctuary. I really hope that there are adequate resources being provided to help them cope with the aftermath of this tragedy. Counseling and support are going to be vital for them moving forward. Maybe we, as a community, can look into ways to help extend support, whether it’s simple gestures or contributing to their ongoing needs. If anyone knows of additional ways to help or initiatives that are being organized, please share. It’s important that they feel surrounded by care and love during such a difficult time.
