I've been following the Eric Almason case, and what's really been on my mind is the role our own neighborhoods play in personal safety. I can't help but think about the courage it took for Eric, knowing his neighbors were relying on him, to confront the intruder that night. It's a testament to the kind of person he was—someone who didn't hesitate to protect his home and his community. As a resident of Tracy myself, I'm deeply concerned about how we can better support each other to prevent such tragedies. Maybe it's time we discuss forming a community watch to look out for one another. This is such a loss, and my heart goes out to Raquel and Dillon. They aren't just grieving—they're enduring. I hope justice is served, and it brings them some sort of peace. Stay strong, Almason family.
