Hello, Cinthia Tavera I’m sister of Gustavo Tavera. The verdict to one of the defendants was not what we expected to say the least, it’s sad and terrible how the “Justice” System failed my family. My family will have to live with this heart ache for the rest of our lives. Those men changed our lives forever. Gustavo my beloved brother did not deserve this. It was a disturbing and horrific case. Nothing will ever justify their actions. A senseless case to say the least. The store owner has no empathy, after watching some of the servalliance evidence made me look at him differently. I would like for that liquor store to no longer exist, only terrible memories of it. Rest in Peace GTR

I've been following the case involving Gustavo Tavera-Rico’s tragic murder, and something that really stands out to me is the impact on the local community. It's so unsettling to think that violence of such extreme nature occurred at a familiar spot like the N and M Liquor store. Many of us have been there or places just like it, and it adds a layer of fear that shouldn’t exist in our daily lives.
I wonder how the store owners and regular patrons are coping with this horrific incident. It's a place that was part of the neighborhood's routine, and now it's tied to such a sorrowful event. The thought of having a crime scene in a spot that's part of your everyday life must be incredibly difficult to process.
My heart truly goes out to Gustavo’s family and friends. I hope the community can rally around them and provide some solace and strength during these unimaginably tough times. It’s also crucial that we all continue to push for changes that reduce instances of gun violence, so no other family has to endure this pain.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Gustavo Tavera-Rico, and something that's been on my mind is the impact this must have had on his family and close friends. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're going through. With the horrific, execution-style nature of the crime, it just seems like such a senseless loss.
What really strikes me is how the community has been rallying together since this happened. It's heartening to see people coming together in support, even amidst all the fear and anguish. I'm hopeful that with the significant attention this case has received, there will be some form of closure for Gustavo's loved ones after the trial.
Also, does anyone know if Hayward or Alameda County has been discussing any new community safety measures? It feels like after such a brutal crime, there should be some steps taken to prevent something like this from happening again. It’d be great to see some proactive measures come about as a result.
Sending all my thoughts to Gustavo's family and friends. Hoping for justice and some peace for those affected.
Take care, everyone.
