Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Marcella Garcia, and I keep thinking about the fact that she was found all the way in Sacramento after having been missing from Oakland. Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Marcella Garcia, and something that's been bothering me is how she ended up in Sacramento from Oakland. Being a student at Castlemont High and living in a group home, it just doesn’t add up how a 16-year-old could travel to another city without anyone noticing or raising concerns sooner. I mean, she was reported missing only two days before her body was found. It makes me wonder about the systems in place to protect teens in group homes and how this could have slipped through the cracks. My heart goes out to Marcella’s family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
