Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about how Yamile Martinez-Andrade, just turned 21, was taken from us so suddenly in that horrible shooting in Sacramento. I was reading about how she had gone to see Tyler, the Creator, for what should've been a fun birthday weekend. It's just so unfair that a young woman, described as vibrant and loving, who had her whole life ahead of her, ended up being a victim of such senseless violence. What really troubles me is the lack of answers her family is getting. I can't imagine the pain they’re going through, not only having lost someone so dear but also not having clarity on why or how it happened. Her stepdad, Frank Gonzalez, has been quite vocal about their need for more communication from law enforcement. It sucks to see families left in the dark when all they want is some form of closure. I haven't seen much progress reported lately; does anyone know if police have made any new developments or arrests? It's frustrating to think of the fight that broke out beforehand and not know if it even matters to what happened next. I really hope they find out who did this and get some justice for Yamile and the other victims. Sending love to everyone who knew and loved her. We shouldn't have to live in fear like this.
