Hey everyone,
I've been following the Jonathan Carter case for some time, and one thing that sticks out to me is the role of social media in the investigation. Just after the tragedy unfolded, there were multiple social media posts that seemed to hint at what went down — almost as if people couldn't help but reveal parts of the story online. I can't wrap my head around why someone would post about such a serious situation, almost like they were taunting the investigation. It's deeply upsetting to imagine what Jonathan's friends and family must have gone through seeing those posts.
Does anyone else think that the digital breadcrumbs left on social media have become a crucial tool in modern-day investigations? I feel like in cases like Jonathan's, it's impossible to overlook the digital footprint that suspects and witnesses leave behind. It makes me wonder how differently things might have gone without those online clues.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts—it’s always helpful to get another perspective on how these elements are changing the dynamics of criminal investigations.
Stay safe,
