I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this has had on Juan’s friends and teammates at Anaheim High School. Losing someone so unexpectedly is always devastating, especially when they’re as positive and driven as Juan was. From what I’ve read, he was really admired both on and off the field, always bringing out the best in people around him. It’s clear he had a bright future ahead. I can't imagine how tough it must be for the football team to cope without him. It seems like Juan wasn’t just a player but also a strong source of support and encouragement for his friends. I’m hoping that the school and community are rallying around these students to offer the support and counseling they need to process such a tragic loss. It's so important that they know they're not alone and that people care deeply about them and about seeing justice for Juan. It's stories like this that make me wish there was more we could do to address these issues of violence and ensure they have no place in any community. My thoughts are with Juan’s family, friends, and teammates.
