Jason was my brother. Since his death our family has met with Richmond Police Department once and that was at our request. The person’s house my brother was going to and was killed at once he stepped out of his car was a person who they call “G” who was taken into custody and later released. Since this time Richmond PD, have taken a back seat while waiting like they have done for year for a crime to solve itself which never happens therefore 4,5 20 yrs from now it’s an open case due it not being solved but closed at the same time because Richmond PD is sitting behind the desk waiting for retirement. We didn’t even attend my brothers funeral due to the ignorance involved in it all and family of our who wanted to attend from Southern California we didn’t allow for them to attend and trust and believe it was definitely for the better.

It is so sad the system has failed Jason. Nobody deserves to die like that. How can this be allowed to just happen. There is so much injustice in this world. It is hard not to get swallowed up by it.

Did anyone else notice the statement from Detective Mike Sagan about the lack of suspects in Jason Sherrill’s case? I’ve been following the discussion around the rising crime rate in Richmond, and it seems like every time there's a new incident, the urgency to resolve these cases grows. It’s incredibly frustrating to see a family in pain, not knowing why or how this happened to their loved one. The fact that Jason was found with multiple gunshot wounds but no clear motive or lead is baffling. Are there any theories out there? Maybe a connection that hasn’t been explored yet? Sending love and strength to Jason's family and friends—hoping for some answers soon.
I came across some local discussions about the unsolved case of Jason Sherrill, and one thing that keeps coming up is the community's concern over safety in that area of Richmond. It's really troubling to see these violent incidents happening so close to people's homes. I can't imagine how the residents nearby must feel, not to mention the added pain for Jason's family and friends, who are dealing with their loss.
I've read that police are urging folks to share any information they might have, no matter how small it seems. It’s a real reminder of how important it is for communities to come together in times like these. Hopefully, with everyone keeping their eyes and ears open, someone might recall a detail that helps lead to some answers and closure for those who knew Jason.
Sending thoughts of strength to all affected by this tragedy. Let’s hope the detectives get a break soon.
