I just came across the latest update on Leonard Schaffer's case, and it got me thinking about how important community tips might have been in this investigation. The fact that the NOPD's Cold Case Unit managed to track down Gordon Lewis while he was already serving time for another crime speaks volumes about their perseverance. High-five to them for not letting this slip through the cracks, right?
It's wild to think that someone might have crucial information and haven't shared it yet. If anyone reading this knows anything—even the smallest detail—that could help Leonard's family find closure, please consider reaching out. They deserve answers, and every piece of information counts.

I just stumbled across this case, and it's so tragic to hear about Leonard Schaffer’s life being cut short in such a senseless manner. I can't imagine the pain his family must have endured for years without answers. It's somewhat comforting to see the NOPD's Cold Case Unit making progress by identifying a suspect after all this time.
Does anyone else have details about the neighborhood where this happened? Was it known for a lot of incidents back then, or was this out of the blue? I hope justice is finally within reach for Leonard and his family, and that the community steps up if they know anything more. Also, kudos to the detectives for not giving up. Keeping hope alive for all those affected. Let’s discuss more about how communities can support victims' families better.
I've been following Leonard Schaffer's case for a while, and it's a relief to finally see some movement with the recent breakthrough by the NOPD. It must be incredibly tough for Leonard's family to have waited all these years without answers. I'm curious to know more about how they managed to connect Gordon Lewis to the crime after so much time had passed. Cold cases are often puzzles with missing pieces, and it seems like they found something significant to issue an arrest warrant. If anyone knows more details about what led to identifying Lewis, or if you recognize his name in connection with other activities in the area, your insights could be crucial. Leonard deserves justice, and any information might help bring some closure to his loved ones.
