I’ve been thinking a lot about Yoana Estephany Munoz Tovar since I heard about this terrible incident. By all accounts, she was a kind and vibrant young woman with many aspirations and dreams. From what her friends have shared, she always brought warmth and joy to those around her. It’s unbearably sad to think about how her life was cut short in such a violent manner. One thing that really stands out is the tragic and very real issue of domestic violence and how important it is to talk about it and seek help when needed. It's hard to imagine what she might have gone through, and even harder to comprehend the pain her family must be enduring. We can only hope to learn from this and find ways to better support those who may be in similar situations. I hope Yoana’s loved ones find some peace and that her memory continues to bring light despite the darkness surrounding her passing.
