I've been following the Octavio Medina Salas case and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this difficult time. One thing that's been on my mind is the importance of the location where this tragedy occurred. The Park Place Apartments on 5th Avenue seems to be a busy area—I'd imagine there would have been people around who might have seen something, even if it seemed insignificant at the time. Does anyone know if the police have considered surveillance footage from nearby businesses or even the apartment complex itself? Sometimes these places have cameras that could have caught something useful. It's so crucial for anyone who might have been in the vicinity around 6:25 p.m. that night to think back and report anything unusual to the authorities. Even the smallest detail could be the key to bringing justice for Octavio. I really hope the community steps up to help. No family should have to live with this kind of uncertainty.
