I've been thinking a lot about the decision-making that led Abe Telvi back to New York, despite the obvious risks. It's really tragic to consider that he might have thought coming back was his best option, even knowing the danger he'd put himself in. I wonder if there's more to his decision—maybe someone promised him protection, or perhaps he underestimated the resolve of those involved in the mob's inner workings. Also, living with scars from the acid attack must have been a constant reminder of his vulnerability. Does anyone here know if there were any signs that Telvi had second thoughts or if he tried reaching out to any law enforcement prior to his murder? The level of desperation he must have felt is genuinely haunting. My thoughts are with his family, who must have faced so many unanswered questions.
