I've been thinking a lot about Malcolm X's last day at the Audubon Ballroom and the sheer courage it must have taken for him to continue his work despite the growing threats against him. It honestly sends chills down my spine to think he was aware of the danger and yet still showed up to speak. What really gets me is the strength Grace Lee Boggs mentioned about Malcolm's resolve despite the looming shadows over his life. It's both inspiring and incredibly saddening. For those who have studied this case, do you think the increased threats were mainly from the Nation of Islam, or do you believe there were other parties involved that history hasn't fully revealed yet? The way his story unfolds still leaves so many questions unanswered. My heart goes out to his family, who had to witness such a public end to someone they loved. How do you handle such a loss while the world watches and speculates?
