I’ve been thinking a lot about Allison DeFeo and how young she was—just 13 years old. It’s truly tragic to think about all the things she’ll never get to experience, things most of us take for granted. Though so many details have been discussed about this case, I feel like Allison's story deserves more attention. Her life was cut short so abruptly, and it makes me wonder about her dreams and ambitions, the kind of person she was and could have become. If anyone's come across information about what she was like or any anecdotes from friends or teachers, I'd be really interested to learn more about her as a person, beyond the dark cloud of this horrific event. To the DeFeo family’s friends and loved ones, my heart goes out to you as you continue to cope with the loss of Allison and her family.

Hey everyone, I was thinking about the strange lack of noise during the night of the DeFeo murders. It's so puzzling that no neighbors heard the gunshots. I mean, a .35-caliber rifle isn't exactly quiet! How could six shots go unheard, especially in a residential neighborhood? Some theories suggest external noise factors like a passing train, but it doesn't seem like there was any substantial noise to mask it. Others have mentioned potential soundproofing in the house, but that feels like a stretch. Does anyone have any insights or theories about why this might be? Could it be some kind of oversight in the original investigation? It’s just such a haunting detail, and my heart goes out to the innocent lives lost. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Every time I think about the DeFeo case, I keep returning to poor Allison, just 13 years old, caught in such a terrifying situation. As the same age as my niece, it's gut-wrenching to think of her life ending before it truly began. I can’t help but wonder about her day-to-day life leading up to that awful night. Was she aware of Butch's struggles with mental health and drugs? Did she feel unsafe or did everything seem normal to her? It's devastating to picture a young girl having her life stolen in the place where she should have felt safest. We speculate so much about the crime itself, but I think it's important to remember Allison as more than just a victim in a headline. She was a young girl with dreams and aspirations. My heart goes out to anyone who knew and loved her, especially those who have had to carry this loss for so many years.
