Hey everyone,
I came across something particularly unsettling while reading about the Palm Sunday Massacre—I couldn't shake off the thought of what the surviving families must have gone through. I mean, living in that neighborhood during such a chaotic time already sounds overwhelming, and then to have such a tragic event occur and disrupt everything... it's hard to imagine the level of grief they must have experienced, especially knowing that no amount of time could ever fully heal those wounds. Given the horrific circumstances, it makes me wonder about the community's response back in the ‘80s and how the neighborhood eventually coped with the trauma. I hope the families found some form of support to help them carry on, and that the community eventually found ways to honor Marilyn, Alberto, and all the victims from that day. It's heart-wrenching to think about what they went through, especially in such a senseless act of violence. Does anyone know if there have been any commemorations or community efforts to remember the victims over the years?
