Hey everyone, I've been diving deeper into the Wilfred "Willie Boy" Johnson case, and one thing that really stands out to me is his decision to stay put in Brooklyn despite the significant threat to his life once it became public knowledge that he was an informant. It’s mind-boggling, honestly. Given the world he was involved in, you'd expect someone in his position to take the Witness Protection Program seriously. Does anyone else wonder why he refused to leave? It seems like such a dangerous move, especially knowing the possible retaliation from his old allies. Some folks speculate he wanted to maintain a sense of normalcy or perhaps pride or confidence in his ability to manage the situation. But was it worth the risk when you have the entire mob possibly gunning for you? The whole situation makes me think about the dilemma informants face—choosing safety over everything or holding on to one's identity and the familiar. It must’ve been incredibly tough for him and, of course, devastating for those close to him. I just hope his family found some peace after such a violent end. If anyone knows more about why he might have made this choice, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe out there, Alex
