Has anyone else been deeply moved by the tribute to Detective Luis R. Lopez with the NYPD Harbor Unit launch named in his honor? I think it's a wonderful gesture that reflects how much he was respected and loved by his colleagues. This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the risks officers take daily. Naming the launch after him ensures that his courage and dedication are remembered. It's a fitting memorial to a man who clearly made a significant impact during his time on the force. Thoughts are with his family, especially his son, who followed his footsteps into the force. It must be incredibly painful but also a source of pride to continue his legacy.
