Does anyone else remember the candlelight vigil they held for Daesean? Nearly 400 people came out to support the Hill family and pay respects to little DaeDae. It's moments like these that show the resilience and compassion of a community, even in the face of such senseless tragedy. I can't even imagine the pain his family went through, losing someone so young and innocent in such a violent way. And on top of that, Kimberly Hill lost a daughter before... no parent should ever have to endure this. It's comforting to know that so many people came out to stand with them during such an incredibly difficult time. Just goes to show that, while there might be an ugly side to what's happening on the streets, there's also a lot of good and a lot of people who care deeply about putting an end to this chaos.

Thank you for Remembering my Dae-Dae and my family. The love is greatly appreciated and felt.

Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Daesean Hill? I've been thinking a lot about the vigil that was held for him. Nearly 400 people came together to support his family, which really shows how much DaeDae touched the hearts of those around him. It's both comforting and sad to see how communities unite in times of loss like this. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his mother, Kimberly Hill, must be feeling, especially after already enduring the loss of her two-year-old daughter. This senseless violence has taken so much from this family. It makes me wonder what more we can do, as a collective, to prevent tragedies like this from happening in the first place. How do we translate this communal grief into meaningful change?
