Has anyone else been struck by how much strength Jeanne Kane must have had to finally break free from such an abusive relationship, only to face such a tragic end? Her story has really stuck with me. I think about all the years she endured that abuse and still managed to rebuild her life post-divorce, even when facing financial pressures from the settlement. It’s just so tragic that her attempt at a fresh start was cut short by such violence. I can’t imagine the courage it took for her to leave that situation and begin anew, and how devastating it must be for her family. My heart goes out to Patricia and the rest of Jeanne’s family—they’ve endured so much. I hope they can find some peace in the joy she brought through her music and the lives she touched.
