I’ve been thinking a lot about the lack of progress in Deriante Deshawn Jones' case, especially with it being unsolved for so long now. It’s really disheartening to see another young life cut short and no answers for his family. I was wondering if anyone on here knows what the police have done in terms of canvassing for witnesses in the area where it happened? That block on Allen Street isn’t unfamiliar with foot traffic, even late at night. It’s possible someone saw something but might have been hesitant to come forward. Also, I feel like social media hasn’t been tapped into enough. Sharing his story could reach people who may have distant connections to him or the area. Sometimes, it's just that one small piece of information that can open up new leads. Has anyone seen any new efforts to renew interest in the case? Keeping Deriante’s name out there might be key in getting the community to speak up. Hoping this post might spark some ideas or actions from those who care ❤️
