I've been following the Shawn Boone case, and one detail that haunts me is the stolen Smith & Wesson revolver from 1971 used by Tayquan Clark. It's baffling to think about how a weapon could have been lost or perhaps ignored for over 40 years before ending up in the wrong hands. It makes me wonder about the gaps in tracking and securing firearms. This weapon's history is another layer that deepens the tragedy of Shawn's death. I'm grateful for the police work that brought those crucial pieces of evidence together, but it's a sobering reminder of how small things over decades can cascade into something so devastating. My heart truly goes out to Shawn's family and friends as they navigate life without him.
